The Hobby School is looking for candidates to fill in the position of AP World History of high school Grades 11 and 12. AP is a US Advanced Placement course.
Hobby School is the first private school in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. It was founded in 1994 with a view to nurture a generation of Mongolian intelligentsia. Hobby School is one of only few bilingual schools in Ulaanbaatar with complete English language immersion. The school is named after the Eurasian hobby falcon. In the 2010-2011 academic year the school has become the first school in Mongolia to offer AP classes, and administer AP examinations.
The school promotes high standards in all areas, and is incredibly proud of its achievements. The students of the school are known for successfully participating in the annual national English olympiads and other various English language competitions. Many of our graduates apply for and are accepted (mostly with scholarships) to colleges and universities in USA and Japan.
We are looking for teachers who are ready and willing to work in a new and challenging environment. You will have the opportunity to work alongside many teachers who are hard-working, dedicated and passionate - qualities that the successful candidate will need to bring with them to our community.
Requirements:
• Native speaker;
• Four-year bachelor’s degree (min.);
• Teacher’s certificate;
• Two years of full-time teaching experience (min.);
• A two year commitment;
• References.
Along with the requirements above, the asset would be:
• Experience in working with foreign students;
• Capability to coach the school’s debate and public speakers teams.
