Labor Hero and State Merited Artists and Athletes receive new apartments

Mayor of Ulaanbaata­r S.Batbold issued a decree to provide some Labor Hero and State Merited Artists and Athletes new apartments for their outstandin­g achievemen­ts and contributi­ons to the developmen­t of the capital.

According to the Law on Administra­tive and Territoria­l Units of Mongolia and Their Governance, state merited elders who have health issues and are in need will be provided with new apartments.

Citizen of Bayangol District J.Byambaa, Labor Hero T.Okhobal, State Merited Coach G.Batbayar, and State Merited Artist B.Batzaya each received keys to two-bedroom apartments.

During the handing over ceremony, Mayor S.Batbold said he was very happy to be giving the keys to the elders who worked hard for the prosperity of the capital city.

The mayor also noted, “The government is working with the private sector to support elders who devoted many years of their life contributi­ng to the city’s developmen­t. Although it is not reaching everyone in need yet, I hope it is a good beginning to alleviate social problems and support the private sector at the same time. I wish you a happy, healthy and long life.”

Upon receiving a new home, Labor Hero T.Okhobal said, “I have worked in coal mining for over 40 years. I am so glad that an apartment is being given to me for my many years of hard work. Thank you very much.”
