Judokas claim 3 medals at Grand Slam-2018
Dusseldorf Grand Slam-2018 took place between February 23 and 25 in Dusseldorf, Germany with a prize pool of 100,000 USD. Dusseldorf has hosted the Grand Prix from 2010 to 2017, and the competition has been upgraded to Grand Slam status this year thanks to the 14,000-seater stadium.
Mongolia won three medals at the Grand Slam-2018, which saw around 500 wrestlers from 65 countries competing for medals.
The following Mongolian judokas participated in the Dusseldorf Grand Slam-2018:
Men
World champion G.Boldbaatar (60 kg), B.Myagmardorj (60 kg) D.Altansukh (66 kg), B.Erkhembayar (66 kg), G.Odbayar (73 kg), Ts.Tsogtbaatar (73 kg), S.Bayartuvshin (73 kg) G.Altanbagana (90 kg), E.Munkhjargal (90 kg) L.Otgonbaatar (100 kg), and U.Duurenbayar (+100 kg).
Women
B.Khorloo (48 kg), E.Gerelmaa (48 kg), B.Khorloodoi (52 kg), A.Tsolmon (52 kg), L.Enkhriilen (57 kg), B.Gankhaich (63 kg), Ts.Naranjargal (70 kg), A.Badamgarav (70 kg), and E.Gandiimaa (+78 kg) competed fiercely in the tournament.
Bronze medals were won by B.Erkhembayar (men’s 65 kg), B.Gankhaich (women’s 63 kg) and L.Enkhriilen (women’s 57 kg) .
E.Gerelmaa (women’s 48 kg), D.Altansukh (men’s 66 kg) and G.Odbayar placed fifth (men’s 73 kg), and S.Bayartuvshin (men’s 73 kg) placed seventh.
