Turkey and Mongolia talk tourism
Minister of Environment and Tourism N. Tserenbat held a meeting with Ambassador of Turkey Ahmet Yazal on Friday to discuss collaboration opportunities in the tourism industry.
The minister told the ambassador that Mongolia is interested in developing tourism cooperation with Turkey, which has extensive experience in tourism, by learning more about the Turkish experience and encouraging Turkish tourists who want to travel in Mongolia.
Ambassador Yazal pointed out that as Turkish people have great interest to travel to Mongolia as old Turks inhabited the territory of Mongolia, there are a lot of opportunities to increase the number of Turkish tourists coming to Mongolia, and Turkey is ready to collaborate with the Mongolia in the tourism sector.
The ambassador noted that increasing the number of seats and capacities of Turkish Airline flights between Istanbul and Ulaanbaatar will be of great importance to developing the Mongolian tourism sector.
Minister N.Tserenbat told the ambassador that as the government of Mongolia is working on new policy documents towards air transport liberalization this year, he is looking forward to seeing good opportunities in the tourism sector.
