Technical problems delay bus services

The Traffic Police Department complained that technical problems of some buses are hindering traffic movement and causing congestion.

For instance, 11 public buses owned by Tenuun Ogoo, Erdem Trans and GBUS LLCs faced problems such as frozen engine and faulty braking system last week. One of them had stopped in the middle of the road, causing considerable trouble for other drivers, but the traffic police managed to take quick countermeasures.

On March 1, six buses broke down for almost two hours respectively and heightened the traffic load in the vicinity, the Traffic Police Department reported. The department reminded bus operators to regularly inspect their buses and carry out necessary maintenance work.
