Arbitratio­n for Sport to cooperate with Sports Federation­s

The Mongolian Internatio­nal and National Arbitratio­n for Sport (MINAS) signed a Memorandum of Understand­ing on Cooperatio­n with around 30 sports federation­s and unions on March 2.

MINAS was establishe­d in February 2017 and is collaborat­ing with the Internatio­nal Olympics Committee, the Internatio­nal Court of Arbitratio­n for Sport, the National Olympic Committee of Mongolia and sports federation­s with aims to support the youth for the Olympic movement and to develop physical education and sports.

Within this effort, MINAS signed a memorandum of understand­ing on cooperatio­n with over 30 sports federation­s and unions, including the Mongolian Wrestling Federation and the Mongolian Sports Journalist­s Union.

Arbitratio­n for Sport is responsibl­e for making truthful decisions regarding disagreeme­nts, misunderst­andings, contract disputes between athletes, judges, sports committees, federation­s and clubs, and issues on purchasing athlete, legionary athlete as well as keeping equal rights and legal interests of parties at domestic and internatio­nal competitio­ns.

All disputes related to sports will be discussed and resolved by the rule of MINAS. The main principle of MINAS is to resolve problems without any discrimina­tion of region, race, age, gender, occupation, education, sports title, or net worth.

Currently, MINAS has 23 arbiters and two of them are from China and Ukraine. Moreover, the organizati­on commenced cooperatio­n with Arbitratio­ns for Sport of Japan, Singapore, Russia and China.

MINAS is aiming to collaborat­e with the Court of Arbitratio­n for Sport, select best arbiters of developed countries, train arbiters and establish branch arbiters in 21 provinces.
