Junior wrestlers claim 6 medals in Russia
Cover-Kyakhta international junior freestyle wrestling competition took place between April 13 and 14 in Kyakhta, Republic of Buryatia, Russia.
Led by three coaches, a total of 27 wrestlers from Mongolia from Nalaikh District (12), Darkhan-Uul Province (eight), Selenge Province (seven) participated in the 19th Cover-Kyakhta competition.
Mongolian junior wrestlers seized six medals at the event -- one gold, one silver and four bronze medals.
Darkhan-Uul Province’s T. Myanganbanzragch took gold in the boys’ 29 kg category, while athlete of Golomt complex school Tserendavaa snagged a silver medal in the boys’ 41 kg category.
A.Ankh-Erdene from Nalaikh District (28 kg), N.Ochir-Erdene from DarkhanUul Province (45 kg), Ts.Bayarsaikhan from Golomt complex school, Burenbayar from Selenge Province (65 kg) claimed bronze each.
International referee G.Amarkhuu and state referees M.Kajimukhan and B.Byambasuren served as referees of the wrestling competition.
