Mongolian archers have participated in many international competitions in 2018 and have already claimed numerous medals.

Archers have won silver and bronze medals and were ranked sixth by overall score at the Asia Cup Stage 1 World Ranking Event, which took place between March 2 and 9 in Bangkok.

The Mongolian archers’ team consisting of J. Gantugs, B. Adiyasuren and B. Otgonbold won a silver medal in the men’s team event (recurve), while B. Urantungalag and J. Gantugs received a bronze medal in the mixed team event (recurve 70 m).

Many more competitions will be held this year and Mongolian archers have intensified their training.

The president of the Mongolian Archery Association P. Tsagaan and Mayor of Japan's Okazaki city Yasuhiro Uchida signed a memorandum of cooperation last week. During the meeting, P. Tsagaan has also met the chairman of the Okazaki city council and executives of archery organizations and were introduced to the accommodations.

Through the memorandum, Mongolian and Japanese archers will attend a joint training in Okazaki city in preparation for the Tokyo-2020 Olympics. Okazaki city, where 380,000 inhabitants live, is famous for its archery schools, athletes, coaches and training facilities.
