Cabinet reviews issues regarding coal transport and land ownership
During Cabinet's weekly Wednesday meeting, ministers agreed to implement a project to build a parking lot at Khairkhan baga in Umnugovi Province’s Khanbodg soum to improve the working environment of coal truck drivers.
Cabinet discussed the deadline for the campaign allowing people to get ownership of lands for free of charge, which is set to end on May 1, but the government decided to extend this campaign for another 10 years as 62.5 percent of all Mongolian families do not have land ownership.
After the meeting, Minister of Construction and Urban Development Kh.Badelkhan presented Speaker of Parliament M.Enkhbold with the government’s proposal on the extension of the campaign for parliamentary review.
In response to Dundgovi Province mayor’s proposal, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh instructed some ministers to study opportunities to open a Chinese Inner Mongolia’s Mongol Hospital Committee in the province, dispatch vehicle to the province’s central hospital, and provide the hospital with required equipment.
Cabinet also discussed a guideline for the visit of Indian Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj to Mongolia, which will take place from April 24 to 26.
Minister of Finance Ch.Khurelbaatar will participate in the United Nations Economic and Social Council forum on financing for development follow-up, which will take place from April 23 to 26 in New York, USA, and the 51st annual meeting of Asian Development Bank, which will be held in Manila, the capital of Philippines, from May 3 to 6.
Cabinet reviewed the results of the visit of Mayor of Parliament M.Enkhbold to Turkey last month, and Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar was tasked to submit it to the National Security Council for review.
Cabinet also reviewed draft amendments to the Constitution, which was authored by MP D.Lundeejantsan and amendments to the Law to Promote Small and Medium-sized Enterprise authored by lawmaker J.Ganbaatar and his associates.
