State Universities Tug-of-War Championship concludes

The State Universities Tug-of-War Championship took place at the Avarga University of Physical Culture.

Over 130 students from eight male and seven female teams took part in the first State Universities Tug-of-War Championship.

According to the rule, male teams’ total mass must not exceed a maximum weight of 600 kg, while female teams’ total mass must not exceed a maximum weight of 520 kg.

In the men’s category, a team of Avarga University of Physical Culture led by the coach B.Erdenechimed took the victory, while the Mongolian State University of Agriculture led by coach Ya.Altangerel and Mongolian National Defense University led by coach B.Batbold took second and third places.

In the women’s category, Avarga University of Physical Culture led by coach B.Erdenechimed took the victory, while teams of Mongolian State University of Agriculture led by coach Ya.Altangerel and National University of Mongolia led by coach M.Dashpurev took second and third places.

Through overall score, the first three places were taken by Avarga University of Physical Culture, Mongolian State University of Agriculture and Mongolian National Defense University.

It was the first time that the State Universities Championship included a competition in tug-of-war.

The board member of the Mongolian Student Sports Federation L.Erdenepurev and Vice President of the Avarga University of Physical Culture G.Sukhbat handed the awards to the winners at the closing ceremony.

In addition, the tug-of-war or the 13th competition was the last event of the State Universities Championship 2018.
