5 tours launched to promote Khovd Province

Khovd Provice held many events this year to attract tourists through their culture of ethnic groups, historical landmarks and nature. The Environment and Tourism Agency is supporting the province’s initiative, declaring Khovd as must see place of the country.

On June 11 and 12, the “Zakhchin tumnii naadam” sports and arts event will take place within the scope of a festival. In September, the province will host “Tsainii zamiin uv soyol” festival for the first time. The province’s “Gurvan tsenkher tuvtei tavan od” tourism program will also feature historical, memorable landmarks and culture of the 13 ethnic groups living in the outskirts of Khovd. Lastly, an international khumii (throat singing) and contortion festival will take place in the province this year.

The Mayor’s Office of Khovd and the Environment and Tourism Agency have launched special tours for the “Tsainii zamiin uv soyol” festival.
