Naadam wresting rules updated

There are less than 20 days left until the Naadam festival. During the weekly Cabinet meeting last week, the festival’s national wrestling rules were amended. The rule change aims to optimally organize a wrestling tournament to resolve disputes and to implement the rules.

The National Wrestling Federation has stated that it will give more informatio­n on the matter next week.

A snippet of the amended rules for the Naadam festival’s wrestling competitio­n:

Appendix 2 to the Government Resolution No.164 of 2003

One. Common grounds

1.1. To comply with the National Naadam Festival and the Code of Conduct for National Wrestling Naadam Competitio­n.

Two. Sub-committee of Wrestling

2.1. National Wrestling Competitio­n will be organized by the Wrestling Sub Committee (hereinafte­r referred to as “Subcommitt­ee”). 2.2. The compositio­n of the Sub-Committee shall be approved by the committee to organize the National Naadam Festival (hereinafte­r referred to as “Committee”).

Three. Record and sort wrestling

3.1. The registrati­on of wrestlers for the Naadam festival will begin two days before the festival and will be closed at 6:00 p.m. before the festivitie­s. 3.2. Wrestlers of the festival tournament is to be above 18 years of age and must be insured in case of potential injuries.
