Naadam Organizing Committee provides update
The heads of Naadam related committees and sub committees held a meeting to wrap up preparations for the national festival and made a report to the public.
A decision was made to not only conduct doping tests on wrestlers, but also Naadam archers. Furthermore, wrestlers who failed doping tests according to the rules set by the World Anti Doping Agency will be banned from Naadam competitions.
Advisor of the deputy prime minister S.Yanjinsuren proposed that the MNS 6264 standard for horse racing protective clothing and gear to be worn during the Naadam festival be met.
Plans for the 2,227th anniversary of the Khunnu Empire, the 812th anniversary of the Great Mongolian Statehood, and the 97th anniversary of the People’s Revolution were presented at the conference.
Underlining the need to provide full coverage of the Naadam festivities, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Naadam O.Enkhtuvshin instructed that there be a section set up at the Central Stadium for the press.
O.Enkhtuvshin further stated that the main function of the committee is to organize the festival fairly, and sub-committees were told to always keep this in mind.
