Taiwan and Mongolia strengthens health and medical cooperation
A ceremony for the launch of the 2018 NTUHHOPE program of cooperation between Third State Central Hospital and National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) took place on June 26.
Through the International Health Cooperation Program, NTUH has established partnership with the three state central hospitals, National Center for Maternal and Child Health, National Cancer Center and National Center for Communicable Disease.
During the ceremony, representatives from the Third State Central Hospital and NYUH signed an agreement to continue their cooperation for the next year.
“The health sector is a unique sector, which shares no boundaries between countries. I express my gratitude to NTUH for their support in empowering Mongolian physicians for many years,” said Deputy Director of the Third State Central Hospital S.Narantsetseg.
CEO of the International Medical Service Center at NTUH Chia-Yu Chu said, "We have been implementing the program for nine years. Within the framework of the program, we have been providing Mongolian physicians, medical and nursing specialists with qualification trainings in Taiwan and conducting on professional trainings upon the requests from our partner hospitals. This year, we are providing training particularly on cardiovascular diseases. Next year marks the 10th anniversary of the joint program.”
The NTUH delegation later visited the National Cancer Center and First State Central Hospital where the sides exchanged views on progress of current joint programs and touched on future cooperation. The delegation returned to Taiwan on June 29.
