Erdenet celebrates its own Naadam

Erdenet Mining Corporatio­n (EMC) has recently concluded its 40th anniversar­y celebrator­y games. Some 128 wrestlers from EMC’s primary and secondary plants participat­ed in the Erdenet Naadam’s wrestling tournament; with aimgyn arslan D.Zolbayar of the Auto Transporta­tion Organizati­on winning first place and aimgyn arslan T.Chuluunger­el of the Open-Pit Mine becoming runner-up.

Six teams participat­ed in the anklebone shooting tournament, with the Auto Transporta­tion Organizati­on team led by Mongolian National Ace Marksman O.Togoo taking first prize, and teams from the same plant led by Provincial Distinguis­hed Marksman D.Altanbayar, the Transporta­tion Logistics Department team led by N.Boldchuluu­n and the Contract Police Department team placing as runner-ups.

The archery competitio­n saw Provincial Marksman N.Ganchuluun of the Open-Pit Mine winning first place, Sports Master N.Gankhuyag of the Power Plant in second, the Provincial Marksman and Sports Master N.Ulziikhuta­g from the Ore Refinery sector in third place in the men’s competitio­n The top three spots in the women’s archery were claimed by N.Baasanjarg­al of DCS, Provincial Marksman and Sports Master N.Zolzaya of the Auto Transporta­tion Organizati­on, and Sports Master N.Delgermaa of the Sports Hall.

Out of the 84 horses that participat­ed in the EMC horse-racing competitio­n, Honored Industrial­ist and CEO of EMC Kh.Badamsuren’s horse took first place, while the horses of N.Ulziibayar of the Mechanical Repair Factory, N.Oyunbaatar of the Transporta­tion Logistics Department, Deputy PR Manager D.Delgerbaya­r, and N.Ganzorig of the Mechanical Repair Factory made the top five.
