Wrestlers bring home 9 medals from Inner Mongolia
The international adult freestyle wrestling tournament Bargiin Tsom opened on June 25 in the Inner Mongolian city of Hailar, China. Around 200 athletes from Mongolia, China, Russia, and North Korea came to participate.
On the first day, the men’s tournament was held where Mongolian wrestlers won nine medals in total -- two gold, three silver, and four bronze.
Khangarid Club’s Z.Sumiyabazar (men’s 74 kg) and Avarguud Academy master B.Namhai (97 kg) won gold medals. Silver medals were won by Arslan Club’s masters Kh.Khishigbat (65 kg) and D.Khatanbaatar (74 kg), and D.Tugs-Erdene (84 kg) of Avragch Sports Committee. Bronze medals were captured by Arslan Club’s Z.Zanabazar (54 kg), Avragch Sports Committee’s B.Nomin (65 kg), Hasu Megastars Club master B.Tsogtgerel (74 kg), and Tsastiin Bars Club master B. Gonchigtavkhai (125 kg).
