Wrestlers bring home 9 medals from In­ner Mon­go­lia

The in­ter­na­tional adult freestyle wrestling tour­na­ment Bargiin Tsom opened on June 25 in the In­ner Mon­go­lian city of Hailar, China. Around 200 ath­letes from Mon­go­lia, China, Rus­sia, and North Korea came to par­tic­i­pate.

On the first day, the men’s tour­na­ment was held where Mon­go­lian wrestlers won nine medals in to­tal -- two gold, three sil­ver, and four bronze.

Khangarid Club’s Z.Su­miyabazar (men’s 74 kg) and Avar­guud Academy mas­ter B.Namhai (97 kg) won gold medals. Sil­ver medals were won by Arslan Club’s masters Kh.Khishig­bat (65 kg) and D.Khatan­baatar (74 kg), and D.Tugs-Er­dene (84 kg) of Avragch Sports Com­mit­tee. Bronze medals were cap­tured by Arslan Club’s Z.Zan­abazar (54 kg), Avragch Sports Com­mit­tee’s B.Nomin (65 kg), Hasu Megas­tars Club mas­ter B.Tsogt­gerel (74 kg), and Tsastiin Bars Club mas­ter B. Gonchig­tavkhai (125 kg).
