Parliament’s Standing Committee on Petition (SCP) held a briefing about its spring session performance on July 3 at the State Palace.
Head of SCP M.Oyunchimeg pointed out that the committee received 277 complaints throughout spring session, 237 of which were processed and responded to, and the remaining complaints are under review.
M.Oyunchimeg noted that the standing committee discussed seven agendas and made four resolutions through five meetings, and in response to a high frequency of complaint from the public, gave tasks to Cabinet once.
She stressed that 7,231 individuals submitted complaints, requests and proposals to the speaker of Parliament and standing committees, and 9.2 percent of them is related to violation of public interest, and the remaining involves private complaints.
The major complaints covered issues regarding operations of school, kindergarten, hospitals, parking space, and delayed housing projects.

Head of the standing committee D.Damba-Ochir highlighted that the standing committee made decisions on several issues regarding mining, banking system, and state property.
He said that the standing committee is working to create a legal environment that brings foreign investment banks to Mongolia.
