All general education examination for senior high school students ended on June 20 and the Education Evaluation Center has started distributing certificates to examinees.
The center plans to hand over certificates of results to all examinees before July 5. Those who haven’t received their certificates are advised to contact their school. Certificates for Mongolian language and Mongolian script of students who finished high school in Ulaanbaatar have been sent to school administrative offices, or homeroom teachers, while those of examinees from outside of Ulaanbaatar were sent to provincial education, arts and cultural offices.
Certificates will be effective for the next 2.5 years, specifically 30 months. Although certificates will not be reissued, those who have lost their certificates can get a performance specification from the Education Evaluation Center.
Out of 43,846 student who gave the state general examination this year, 87 percent, or 37,950 students, had graduated this year and the rest had graduated last year. The Education Evaluation Center reported that three students from Ulaanbaatar and 12 students from provinces were able to achieve the highest score of 800 points in the Mongolian language exam.
Three of the top scorers are from Govi-Altai, three from Khentii, three from Khuvsgul, two from Selenge, two from Uvs Province, and one from Uvurkhangai.
