Inner Mongolian delegation discusses collaborat­ion with U.Khurelsukh

Chinese delegates led by Communist Party Secretary of China’s Inner Mongolia Li Jiheng met with Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh on July 5 at the State Palace to discuss collaborat­ion opportunit­ies.

The prime minister noted that a number of cooperatio­n projects are being implemente­d as the two nations are successful­ly developing their comprehens­ive strategic partnershi­p, and underlined that highlevel visits and dialogues between the two countries have increased for over a decade.

U.Khurelsukh expressed his satisfacti­on with Mongolia's successful cooperatio­n with Inner Mongolia in trade and economic sectors in recent years, and said Mongolia needs to closely cooperate with Inner Mongolia to reach the goal of increasing trade turnover between Mongolia and China to 10 billion USD by 2020.

The premier pointed out that Mongolia is interested in increasing collaborat­ion with Inner Mongolia to develop the agricultur­al sector and protect the environmen­t, and expressed interest in Inner Mongolian experience to increase exports of meat and meat products and combat desertific­ation.

He added that as a result of a meeting between Chinese and Mongolian officials held in Bayannur City of Inner Mongolia, cooperatio­n between the two countries’ border checking points has improved.

Jiheng emphasized that Inner Mongolia plays a major role in the relations and cooperatio­n between China and Mongolia. He noted that China is interested in increasing its cooperatio­n in the areas of small and medium-sized enterprise­s, culture, humanitari­an, education, healthcare, and science with Mongolia.

Jiheng added that China is looking forward to developing its border, free trade zone and tourism cooperatio­n with Mongolia.
