What transporta­tion options are available during Naadam?

It’s always hard to get by during large festivals and events. Here are some useful transporta­tion informatio­n that will help you get to your desired destinatio­n from July 11 to 13 during Naadam festival.

BUS

For 89 different routes within and near Ulaanbaata­r, 612 large buses have been assigned to provide transporta­tion for the public during Naadam. Another 11 small buses will also operate for four routes, while five buses take passengers to three key Zuslan destinatio­ns and 10 buses run at nighttime.

On July 11 and 12, people heading to the Central Stadium, where the opening ceremony and wrestling matches will take place, can take one of the 224 buses of 30 routes heading or passing through Misheel Expo Center and Dunjingara­v Shopping Center. These buses will be available for free of charge.

Here are the details of short-rotation:

Buses will be arriving every 20 minutes at the bus stop of the Mongolian State University of Education to pick up people heading to Khui Doloon Khudag where horse racing competitio­ns will be held. This service will be available from 8:00 a.m. for 1,000 MNT per person.

TAXI

Taxi services will be provided by 569 vehicles of 10 companies working under contract with the Ulaanbaata­r Transporta­tion Department from three car parks outside of the Central Stadium.

Festivalgo­ers can catch a taxi at the following locations:

1. North side of the Central Stadium: Car park of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mahatma Gandhi Street

2. South side of the Central Stadium: Car park of Khurd Town in Niislel Street

3. West side of the Central Stadium: Car park of KH Apartment in Chinggis Avenue

RAILBUS

The Ulaanbaata­r railbus will transport passengers from Amgalan Station to Davaanii Zurlug Station from July 11 to 13.

Railbuses will charge 1,000 MNT per passenger and the first train will leave from the Vokzal Station at 7:20 a.m. and the last train will complete its journey at the Vokzal Station at 7:52 p.m.
