Minister D.Tsogtbaatar meets Japanese health, labor, and welfare minister
On Monday, Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar met with Japanese Minister of Health, Labor, and Welfare Yasuhisa Shiozaki in Ulaanbaatar to discuss some collaboration opportunities between the two countries.
At the beginning of their meeting, Minister Shiozaki thanked the government of Mongolia for providing Japan with humanitarian aid after Japan was hit with deadly floods and landslides in July.
During the meeting, the two ministers expressed their satisfactions with successful implementation of the Japan-Mongolia strategic partnership in a wide range of sectors of the two countries, and noted the importance of strengthening bilateral economic cooperation and reducing Mongolia’s trade deficit with Japan by diversifying the Mongolian economy, and promoting mutual cooperation for increasing Japanese investment and innovate technology in Mongolia to promote value-added manufacturing.
Minister D.Tsogtbaatar noted that as education, health and social sectors are key areas to promote the nation’s sustainable development, Mongolia is interested in strengthening its collaboration with Japan in these sectors.
Both ministers underlined the importance of Mongolian and Japanese cooperation to promote regional peace, security and stability.
