COMPLETION OF FINAL WTG OF SAINS HAND SALKHIN PARK

Last week, “Sainshand Salkhin Park” LLC has completed the erection of its 25 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs). These works have required professional engineering and construction skills on top of rigorous planning to complete such activities without lost time accidents nor any kind of significant incident during the erection. Although, heavy weather conditions such as sandstorms, high wind or rain have laid to a cumulation of more than 25 lost days, the SSP team and its contractors have managed to achieve this major milestone timely and in advance of the base line schedule.

“Sainshand Salkhin Park” LLC has started its construction works in August,2017, with the plan to start energy production towards the end of October, 2018. The project is located in Altan shiree and Urgunsoum’s territory of the Dornogobi province.

This construction and its future supply of clean and green energy have created and will continue to create additional jobs, while contributing to the local and national economy.The construction phase of the project corresponds to a total investment amount of 120 million USD. 65% of the cost is supplied through debt from international banks and more than 98% of the share holder ship comes from European companies and institutions. The implementation of the wind park with installed capacity of 55MW will result in a supply of sustainable electricity to almost 100000 households and will contribute to a greener economy with a potential reduction of more than 200 thousand tons of CO2 emissions annually.
