MSE publishes financial reports in English

In an effort to provide international investors with an equal access to information about the Mongolian market, the Mongolian Stock Exchange (MSE) has published the financial reports of 175 publicly listed companies.

MSE said that it delivers all market news and daily trading information in English as well as transmit trading data, financial reports of listed companies as well as any other information related to corporate actions to international investors through international financial information terminals. For the purpose of increasing international investment flows to the domestic market, MSE intends to regularly provide financial reports of listed companies in English.

According to the relevant laws, a publicly-listed company on MSE is legally required to submit and publish their financial reports.

In an interview with Unuudur in February, CEO of MSE Kh.Altai said that more than half of the companies do not send in their report.

“Around 50 percent of companies do not send in their financial reports. We have proposed to the Financial Regulatory Commission to revoke the license of companies that have not complied with the law and sent in their financial reports. On the other hand, we must remember that the liquidity on MSE is bad right now. Some companies are not able to benefit from being listed on MSE. Companies with adequate liquidity that are seeking funding will of course comply with the rules,” Kh.Altai said.
