Don’t forget to take care of trees on Saturday

The 16th National Tree Planting Day will take place on Saturday, and this time, city authorities encouraged the public to take care of planted trees rather than plant new ones.

Simple ways you can take care of trees include watering, cleaning soils around a plant, remove dead and broken branches, and check soil moisture.

The Ministry of Environment, Green Development and Tourism, Ulaanbaatar Environment Office, and Forestry Research and Development Center will organize various measures for tree maintenance on Saturday and encouraged residents to bring their gardening tools if they have any.

Since Mongolia started holding National Tree Planting Days twice a year in 2010, approximately 1.27 million people and 68,900 organizations planted 10.1 million trees on this day.
