New app allows parents to monitor children’s academic performance
Parents can now check the attendance and academic performance of their child using the internet or ESIS app anywhere and anytime.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports introduced the app on Tuesday created as part of the Education Information System Project, funded by the ministry and the Asian Development Bank since 2014.
The project aims to simplify the conventional paperback registration and statistical report by adopting a new information technology system. It also facilitates information exchange between education authorities and teachers of kindergartens, schools and education institutions. Developers hope that the app will encourage parents to keep updated and involved with their children’s studies so that they can progressively elevate their child’s academic performance.
