Mongolia wins first gold

The 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games is being hosted in Buenos Aires, Argentina from October 6 to 18. Mongolian sports shooter E.Enkhmaa won Mongolia’s first gold medal from the 2018 Youth Olympic Games on October 11 in the mixed international team 10 m air rifle event.

The champion team consisted of Mongolian E.Enkhmaa and Hungarian shooter Zalan Pekler. In order to win the gold medal, the pair had to beat a team of Russian Anastasia Dereviagina and Edson Ramirez Ramos, and Mexican athletes Vivi Natalia Kemppi and Facundo Firmapaz. In both rounds, the Mongolian-Hungarian team beat their opponents and became champions of the mixed international team competition.
