Parliament conducts 2nd review of 2019 fiscal budget
On October 25, Parliament conducted the second review of the 2019 state budget, the 2019 budget for the Social Insurance Fund and the 2019 budget of the Health Insurance Fund.
During the session, the majority of lawmakers in attendance decided to cut financing of the government’s measures for reducing air and environment pollution in next year’s state budget by 80 billion MNT, proposed financing of Education Loan Fund by 42 billion MNT and financing of measures for carrying out customs reform by 12 billion MNT.
They also agreed to increase the budget regarding child protection in next year’s state budget by 5.6 billion MNT, and operating expenditure of the National Committee on Gender Equality by 512.4 million MNT.
At the end of the October 25 session, Parliament submitted the draft state budget to Parliament’s Standing Committee on Budget for preparation for the final parliamentary review.
