Lawmaker B.Saranchimeg discusses cooperation projects with Canadian ambassador
Chair of Mongolia-Canada interparliamentary group in Parliament B.Saranchimeg received Ambassador of Canada to Mongolia David William Sproule on October 29 at the State Palace to talk about some issues of bilateral relations and cooperation.
Lawmaker B.Saranchimeg thanked the government of Canada, the Canadian Embassy in Ulaanbaatar, and Canada Fund for implementing several important projects in Mongolia and providing financial and other assistance to Mongolia.
“We should actively cooperate with the embassy to enhance the current relations and cooperation of the two countries’ parliaments, so I will seek active collaboration with the embassy,” the lawmaker said.
The ambassador provided B.Saranchimeg a brief introduction of ongoing projects being implemented in Mongolia with Canadian support.
During their meeting, they talked about possibilities to get officials of Parliament of Mongolia attend a training annually organized by the Parliament of Canada for officials of international parliaments.
In addition, they exchanged views on activities to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Canada, which is taking place this year.
