Chi­nese-Mon­go­lian friend­ship song com­pe­ti­tion an­nounced

Start­ing this year, the Chi­nese Mon­go­lian friend­ship song com­pe­ti­tion is to take place an­nu­ally for 16-45 year olds. The pre­lim­i­nary se­lec­tions for the com­pe­ti­tion took place on Oc­to­ber 27 at the Mon­go­lian Chil­dren’s Cre­ativ­ity Cen­ter. Or­ga­niz­ers of the event are the Chi­nese Em­bassy in Mon­go­lia, Mon­go­lian Em­bassy to China, and Con­fu­cius In­sti­tute.

Sixty peo­ple com­peted over­all, half of whom were se­lected for the next round. Fur­ther­more, the or­ga­niz­ers have given a cer­tifi­cate to all con­tes­tants and gifted them with new head­phones. As for the three that will win the com­pe­ti­tion, the or­ga­niz­ers will grant a cash prize of 10,000 CNY.

The sec­ond round will kick off on Novem­ber 3 and the Gala con­cert is to take place on Novem­ber 18 at the Mon­go­lian Chil­dren's’ Palace. In China, the Chi­nese-Mon­go­lian friend­ship song com­pe­ti­tion al­ready took place, whose six win­ning par­tic­i­pants are to come to the Gala con­cert to per­form.

The or­ga­niz­ers have ex­pressed their wish to in­clude more peo­ple in next year’s com­pe­ti­tion.
