Chinese-Mongolian friendship song competition announced

Starting this year, the Chinese Mongolian friendship song competition is to take place annually for 16-45 year olds. The preliminary selections for the competition took place on October 27 at the Mongolian Children’s Creativity Center. Organizers of the event are the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia, Mongolian Embassy to China, and Confucius Institute.

Sixty people competed overall, half of whom were selected for the next round. Furthermore, the organizers have given a certificate to all contestants and gifted them with new headphones. As for the three that will win the competition, the organizers will grant a cash prize of 10,000 CNY.

The second round will kick off on November 3 and the Gala concert is to take place on November 18 at the Mongolian Children's’ Palace. In China, the Chinese-Mongolian friendship song competition already took place, whose six winning participants are to come to the Gala concert to perform.

The organizers have expressed their wish to include more people in next year’s competition.
