For­eign af­fairs min­is­ter at­tends global se­cu­rity meet­ing

Min­is­ter of For­eign Af­fairs D.Tsogt­baatar is par­tic­i­pat­ing in the Mu­nich Se­cu­rity Con­fer­ence (MSC) Core Group Meet­ing, be­ing held in Minsk, Be­larus from Oc­to­ber 30 to Novem­ber 2.

The con­fer­ence has been or­ga­nized since 1963, which is one of the key mech­a­nisms for dis­cussing in­ter­na­tional se­cu­rity is­sues in de­tail. Over 100 del­e­gates from around the world par­tic­i­pated in the meet­ing to dis­cuss cru­cial top­ics with the aim of in­creas­ing mu­tual trust be­tween the East and the West.

Min­is­ter D.Tsogt­baatar at­tended a round­table on transna­tional se­cu­rity and dis­cus­sion on East-West re­la­tions.

As part of the meet­ing, D.Tsogt­baatar held a meet­ing with Chair­man of the MSC Wolf­gang Ischinger to ex­change views on the im­por­tance of MSC and fur­ther co­op­er­a­tion.

The Mon­go­lian for­eign af­fairs min­is­ter also met with Sen­a­tor of Canada and Chair of the Cana­dian Se­nate’s Stand­ing Com­mit­tee on For­eign Af­fairs and In­ter­na­tional Trade Raynell An­dr­ey­chuk to dis­cuss bi­lat­eral re­la­tions and co­op­er­a­tion.
