Mongolian sculptors are showcasing their artwork through a joint exhibition at Norphei Art Gallery from October 2 to November 8. The exhibition features 45 sculptures by 30 sculptors.

Mongolian Sculptors’ Day is celebrated by sculptors on November 2 every year. On the occasion of this day, the exhibition is held annually to promote the works of Mongolian sculptors.

Since representatives of state honored artist and sculptor G.Tsogbayar’s students organized the first joint exhibition of distinguished Mongolian sculptors in 2014, the exhibition has been organized every year for five years.

G.Tsogbayar’s students from the Mongolian Institute of Fine Arts in 2008 and 2009 are organizing this year’s exhibition.

The sculptors are very glad to participate in the annual exhibition, and they say that the exhibition has become a competitive art event in Mongolia.

The organizers shared that the main focus of the exhibition is to present Mongolian sculptors’ new works to the people and other artists. Mongolian sculptors mostly create using wood, stone, metal, bone, ice and paper sculptures.
