Pakistan-Mongolia consultative meeting takes place
The first consultative meeting of the foreign affairs ministries of Mongolia and Pakistan took place on November 5, in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, to discuss consular affairs cooperation between the two countries.
The meetings delegations were led by State Secretary of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren and State Secretary of the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs in charge of Asia Pacific affairs Aziz Ahmad.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a wide range of opportunities of developing cooperation in many sectors despite the geographical distance between the two countries.
Both sides noted the importance of the consultative meeting between the foreign ministries in promoting the future of partnership and determining its direction.
The parties agreed to develop bilateral cooperation in the areas of politics, economy, trade, culture, education, tourism and agriculture.
In addition, they exchanged views on enhancing the relations between parliaments, conducting official visits from both sides, organizing exchange programs for entrepreneurs as well as promoting mutual cooperation in the regional and global arenas.
D.Davaasuren learned about the ongoing progresses of the ChinaPakistan economic corridor’s projects being implemented under China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
After the meeting, State Secretary D.Davaasuren held meetings with Pakistani Parliamentary Secretary on Foreign Affairs Andleeb Abbas, National Coordinator for Shanghai Cooperation Organization of Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Ministry Ahmad and Honorary Consul of Mongolia to Pakistan Khalid to discuss collaboration opportunities between the two countries.
