National Center of Defects introduces new surgical procedure
The National Center of Defects has started using a new surgical technique that uses modern advanced surgery for restoring tear and damage of the clavicle and shoulder blade by using an anchor lock. Previously, this surgical procedure was carried out in the traditional method before the new technique was introduced.
In relation to the traditional operation, there were many complaints from patients such as shoulder pain, limitations to shoulder mobility, the hook coming back out and inflammation. The new one-time anchor-buttoned material and surgery to restore the damage to the clavicle and shoulder blade is proving to be highly effective, according to doctors. In contrast to the traditional method, the post surgery discomfort and pain are less, the mobility of the limbs are restored sooner, less damage is done to the ligaments, there is less scarring and the satisfaction of the patients are higher.
The fast recovery of patients means that they can get back to work sooner and when they don’t stay in hospital for many days, it opens up more room for other patients. Development of medical technology has enabled the protection and promotion of health. Mongolia has been improving the protection, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation for each level of healthcare, according to health officials, which in return can bring the country’s healthcare services closer to world standards.
