Over 2.5 mil­lion shares traded

On Tues­day, a to­tal of 2,502,337 shares of 20 firms listed as Tier I, II, and III were traded. Seven com­pa­nies’ shares saw an in­crease in price, while those of 11 com­pa­nies de­clined.

Al­tain Zam JSC (AZH+14.86 per­cent) and Jinst Uvs JSC (JIV +14.69 per­cent) were the top per­form­ers, whereas Orkhon­dalai JSC (ORD -14.98 per­cent) and Mon­in­jbar JSC (MIB -9.09 per­cent) were the worst per­form­ers.

In Tier 1, 53,805 shares of eight com­pa­nies were traded for 54.35 mil­lionMNT.

In Tier 2, over 2.44 mil­lion shares of nine com­pa­nies were traded for nearly 174.2 mil­lion MNT.

In Tier 3, 4,697 shares of three com­pa­nies were traded for al­most 2.76 mil­lionMNT.

The MSE Top 20 In­dex fell by 0.16 per­cent and reached 19,561.95 points. The MSE market cap stands at 2.29 tril­lion MNT.

On Mon­day, Mon­go­lian Min­ing Cor­po­ra­tion’s shares reg­is­tered an in­crease of 20.39 per­cent in short in­ter­est. The com­pany’s to­tal short in­ter­est was 112,200 shares in Novem­ber, as pub­lished by FINRA. It went up 20.39 per­cent from 93,200 shares, ac­cord­ing to lat­est re­ports. With an av­er­age vol­ume of 951,900 shares, it will take short sellers zero days to cover Mon­go­lian Min­ing Cor­po­ra­tion’s short po­si­tions.

It closed at 0.02 USD on Mon­day, record­ing no changes com­pared to Novem­ber 26, 2017.
