‘Positive Energy’ manga launched

The launch of a manga book titled “Positive Energy” was held at the initiation of Beautiful Hearts NGO on November 28. The aims of the publicatio­n is to inform people about gender-based violence and its prevention­s. Present at the launch was UNFPA Representa­tive Naomi Kitahara, Head of Youth Developmen­t Department S.SukhOchir and General Coordinato­r of Beautiful Hearts B.Oyundari.

Following the opening speeches, a discussion took place among participan­ts.

“The goal of the book is to inform the youth about gender-based violence and ways to prevent it by bringing it close to their interests,” said B.Oyundari.

A total of 3,000 copies were printed and 2,000 of them are being donated to school libraries in Ulaanbaata­r, while the other 1,000 are to be donated to schools in rural settlement­s. The book was published within the framework of the advocacy project “Break the Chain 2” supported by UNFPA and the Swiss Agency for Developmen­t and Corporatio­n.
