Inspection agency catches illegal fishers

The Inspection Agency of Khentii Province has caught and arrested illegal fishers on November 22. Some of the people who are under inspection were also caught netting and selling fish illegally last year. In addition to illegal fishing, they were carrying a wild boar, gazelles, frozen marmots, pikes, lacquer, fluorite and precious stones with them. With the group was also a Chinese citizen who was caught illegally hunting hares.

Though the province frequently catches these incidents, those who committed the offences keep repeating as penalties are low. In order to stop these illegal hunting and fishing, the province will be carrying out a project titled “Inspection-2018”. There are frequent cases of livestock theft, livestock diseases breakouts and environment violations in the province, reported the Inspection Agency of Khentii Province on November 27.
