Mon­go­lia loses to China 10-0 in EAFF Foot­ball Cham­pi­onships qual­i­fier

The Mon­go­lian women’s foot­ball team was com­pletely de­feated by the Chi­nese team on the first day of the sec­ond pre­lim­i­nary round of the East Asian Foot­ball Fed­er­a­tion (EAFF) Foot­ball Cham­pi­onship qual­i­fiers.

The cham­pi­onship, sched­uled from De­cem­ber 1 to 5, is com­menc­ing in Guam. The Mon­go­lian team con­sists of 19 play­ers and is be­ing coached by G. Tsede­v­suren.

At 30 de­grees Cel­sius, the two teams com­peted for 95 min­utes at the Guam Foot­ball As­so­ci­a­tion Na­tional Train­ing Cen­ter. China took con­trol from the kick-off, with striker Wang Shan­shan con­tribut­ing a hat-trick to China’s eight goals in the first half. After the restart, Wang scored a fourth while Yao Wei added an­other to help China seal a 10-0 vic­tory.

Mon­go­lia will go up against Hong Kong on Wed­nes­day at 11:00 a.m.
