990 fam­i­lies con­nected to elec­tric­ity

Naran Khairkhan Trade LLC has started op­er­a­tions of a new sub-sta­tion to sup­ply 0.4 kilo­watt power to 990 fam­i­lies in Chin­gel­tei Dis­trict.

The sub-sta­tion was built through the sec­ond phase of the Na­tional Air Re­duc­tion Pro­gram, aimed to stop raw coal con­sump­tion and pro­mote elec­tric heaters.

The pro­gram’s 56 com­pre­hen­sive ac­tions to take in Ulaan­baatar are be­ing car­ried out by 54 com­pa­nies. Naran Khairkhan Trade LLC was put in charge of build­ing a new sub-sta­tion to im­prove power sup­ply and help fam­i­lies stay warm at night by tak­ing ad­van­tage of the dis­counted night­time elec­tric­ity tar­iff.

The ex­pan­sion of sub-sta­tions and elec­tric­ity distri­bu­tion net­work in ger ar­eas will help pro­vide a re­li­able elec­tric­ity source to nearly 42,000 fam­i­lies in 35 khoroos of five dis­tricts, the pro­gram team said.

The first phase of the pro­gram com­mis­sioned a sub-sta­tion ca­pa­ble of sup­ply­ing elec­tric­ity to 21,362 fam­i­lies, while the sec­ond phase is ex­pected to pro­vide elec­tric­ity to 20,602 fam­i­lies.
