Minister D.Tsogtbaatar visits Kuwait
Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar paid an official visit to Kuwait from December 17 to 18.
Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah held talks with Minister D.Tsogtbaatar on December 17 to exchange views on the current view of the relations and cooperation between the two countries, and discuss ways to expand bilateral relationship.
During their meeting, the two ministers reaffirmed that both countries will support each other and develop further mutual cooperation to ensure peace and stability on regional and global levels.
Minister D.Tsogtbaatar gave an interview about Mongolia’s foreign policy, the current situation of the nation’s economy, and investment opportunities in Mongolia to the Kuwait National Television.
As part of his visits, Minister D.Tsogtbaatar was received by Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah and Prime Minister of Kuwait Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad AlSabah to exchange views on bilateral relations.
D.Tsogtbaatar conveyed President Kh.Battulga’s warm greetings to Emir Al Sabah. The Kuwait’s Emir emphasized that Kuwait considers Mongolia as a close friend.
Emir Al Sabah noted that he is ready to support all possible opportunities for expanding the relations and cooperation between Kuwait and Mongolia.
In his meeting with the Kuwaiti prime minister, Minister D.Tsogtbaatar discussed ways for developing deeper bilateral relations.
D.Tsogtbaatar thanked Prime Minister Jaber Al-Sabah for providing non-refundable aid to Mongolia for a project to build a new burn treatment center in Ulaanbaatar and a project to renew Undurkhaan Airport in Chinggis City, the capital of Khentii Province, which will be carried out with financing from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
The Mongolian minister of foreign affairs presented Kuwaiti citizen Bader Al Baijan with the Order of the Polar Star, which was bestowed by President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga in recognition of Al Baijan’s work to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
