2 former prime ministers arrested

The year 2018 was an intense year for some high-ranking officials. The Independent Agency Against Corruption detained former prime ministers S.Bayar and Ch.Saikhanbileg not once but twice this year. Both were investigated for potentially abusing their position as prime ministers and giving privileges to certain people.

There weren’t many cases of high officials being arrested multiple times. The cases are still ongoing. Many people are carefully watching from the sideline to make sure their crimes aren’t left unpunished and forgotten.

According to the State General Prosecutor’s Office, a couple of individuals who served in high government positions are being investigated. The office vowed to make sure none of them are able to escape conviction if their crimes are proven. One of the revealed suspects is former General Prosecutor D.Dorligjav who was allegedly involved in a corruption case but has been denying it, saying that he is being wrongfully accused. He’s even announced to sue his accusers for defamation.
