UAE signs direct flight deal with Mongolia
During an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that concluded last Friday, Minister of Construction and Urban Development Kh.Badelkhan discussed logistics, construction materials and chemicals, and tourism with UAE Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori. The UAE official noted the importance of the UAE’s establishment of its embassy in Mongolia in 2016 on the diplomatic relation of the two countries, and expressed interest in expanding economic and trade ties.
Minister Kh.Badelkhan briefly described challenges in the construction industry within all 21 provinces of Mongolia, presented the new Chinggis Khaan airport set to be operational in 2020 and upcoming and planned procurement and trade projects for laboratory research equipment. Minister Saeed Al Mansoori singled out logistics and transport as an integral part of expanding the two countries’ partnership, and proposed a direct flight between Mongolia and the UAE.
Minister Sultan bin Al Mansoori, an engineer, agreed to support the supply project of laboratory equipment, and also agreed to provide donation to the Mongolian government to address challenges faced by the construction industry across all provinces of the country. In addition, the two parties signed a transportation and logistics agreement to jointly develop the industry for mutual benefit, including tourism. This agreement includes provisions on establishing a direct flight between Mongolia and the UAE.
