DP forms campaign headquarters

On May 20, Democratic Party (DP) announced the establishment of headquarters to manage their 2020 parliamentary election campaign.

Lawmaker Ya.Sanjmyatav will be the general manager of the DP election campaign headquarters.

General Secretary of DP Ts.Baasankhuu said, “All activities of DP are open for members, supporters and citizens. Following this principle, information on the nomination process for the 2020 parliamentary elections was made public at all times. However, other parties, including the ruling Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) have not released information on the nomination process so far.”

General Manager of DP campaign headquarters Ya.Sanjmyatav called on all political parties, coalitions and independent candidates running in the election to respect the Law on Elections, to follow the will of the people, to express their fair competition, and not to use “black PR” and slander in their campaigns.

“The election campaign has not yet begun, but DP is under attack. MPP tried to slander DP by wasting a lot of money. Some of our candidates are even being threatened by law enforcement agencies,” he said.
