-

It hasn’t been long since the time #SaveZaya went viral on social media, initiate by Mongolians to support blogger G.Batzaya, who was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia.

After nine months since he heard the bad news, the young man is now discharged from the hospital as he has recovered. He had 80 percent spreading of cancer cells in his bone marrow, however, thanks to bone marrow transplantation surgery, the young man survived the deadly disease. Many Mongolians contributed to raise the 650 million MNT needed for the treatment and surgery at Hebei Yanda Hospital in China.

G.Batzaya mother B.Dagiimaa posted on her Facebook, “On May 20, my son was discharged from hospital. He will continue taking medications while being observed twice a week. Thank you to fellow Mongolians from all over the world who supported my son all this time, and local and international companies. Also, I appreciate the support from my son’s friends, coworkers, relatives and each and every person who were together with us in the hardest time of our lives. Mongolians are wonderful people.”

G.Batzaya’s Facebook profile picture says, “I will live my best life” as an expression of gratitude towards those who helped him overcome cancer.
