Chairs of 11 parliament­ary standing committees named

The newly appointed Parliament convened for the first time on July 9, finalizing appointmen­ts of the new members of parliament­ary standing committees

Parliament first discussed a resolution on selecting new chairs of parliament­ary standing committees in conformity with the revised Act of Parliament, which stipulates the assignment of 11 standing committees. Newly appointed standing committee chairs are as follows:

• Chair of the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy – MP B.Battumur

• Chair of the Standing Committee on Environmen­t, Food and Agricultur­e – MP Kh.Bolorchulu­un

• Chair of the Standing Committee on Education, Culture, Science and Sports – MP J.Munkhbat

• Chair of the Standing Committee on Ethics and Discipline – MP B.BatErdene

• Chair of the Standing Committee on Innovation and Online Policy – MP N.Uchral

• Chair of the Standing Committee on Social Policy – MP M.Oyunchimeg

• Chair of the Standing Committee on State Structure – MP L.EnkhAmgala­n

• Chair of the Standing Committee on Budget – MP B.Javkhlan

• Chair of the Standing Committee on Industrial Policy – MP B.Choijilsur­en

• Chair of the Standing Committee on Justice – MP S.Byambatsog­t

• Chair of the Standing Committee on Economy – MP J.Ganbaatar

The plenary session concluded with the replacemen­t of Chairwoman of the National Statistics Office A.Ariunzaya as she was appointed as minister of labor and social protection earlier that week. A.Ariunzaya had been running the office for the past four years.
