Horse racing results

The Naadam horse racing has six major categories; 22 to 24 kilometer stallion race, 24 to 26 kilometer ikh nas (horse over the age of five) race, 18 to 20 kilometer soyolon (five-year-old horse) race, 15 to 17 kilometer khyazaalan (four-year-old horse) race, 12 to 14 kilometer shudlen (three-year-old horse) race, and 10 to 12 kilometer daaga (two-years-old horse) race.

Khyzaalan and shudlen races were expected to be held on July 10, but it was pushed back to July 13 due to heavy rain increasing risks for horses and child jockeys.

The regulation allowed only stallions that are shorter than 140 centimeters to take part in races. The height limit for ikh nas was set at 141 centimeters; soyolon at 140 centimeters; khyazaalan at 137 centimeters; shudlen at 132 centimeters; and the height limit for daaga was set at 127 centimeters.

Members of the Horse Racing Commission for Naadam measured the height of all horses taking part in races, and disqualified horses that exceeded the specified height limit.

A total of 104 stallions participated in the stallion race.
