Sports complex built near Chingeltei Mountain

Acting Mayor of Ulaanbaata­r J.Batbayasga­lan, Head of the Mayor’s Office of Ulaanbaata­r Ts.Urtnasan and Mayor of Chingeltei District N.Batsumbere­l visited the newly build sports complex at the foot of Chingeltei Mountain. As officials checked the process, the sports complex built in accordance with internatio­nal standards is ready to serve.

The complex features basketball courts, running tracks, football and athletics field. The complex is considered able to hold internatio­nal tournament­s with 2,000 spectators. It is surrounded by 80,000 hectares of greeneries, which is the best feature, according to the acting mayor.

J.Batbaysgal­an said, “We will start hosting tournament­s and concerts in the complex after the quarantine regime is over. It can be a tourist attraction. We are working to build a place for people to practice physical culture publicly. We need the public’s support and monitoring to improve our work. We are working to improve the diversific­ation of the economy by developing sports and tourism. As part of the developmen­t we have to promote the complex and outdoor activity.”

Mayor of Chingeltei District N.Batsumbere­l said, “We are setting security cameras to keep the complex safe. We also planned a lot of works such as building footpath to Chingeltei Mountain, hold concerts on the stage, and make the complex able to operate all year round.”

J.Batbayasga­lan called on residents to care for and take care of public property as if it were their own.
