Celebrated singer Kh.Tumurbaatar dies at 70
Merited actor and singer Kh.Tumurbaatar died on September 9 due to underlying health condition.
He was born in 1950 as the second son to People’s Actor “Prince of Opera” G.Khaidav. Kh.Tumurbaatar is considered as one of the first Estrada singers in Mongolia who sang many iconic songs in the 70s and 80s. He was even famous in Russia thanks to his accomplishments in All-Russian singing competitions.

Chi Ineemseglej Yavaarai” are one of Mongolia’s most famous and most covered songs.
He was honored as merited actor in 2000 due to his contributions in promoting Mongolian Estrada singing worldwide. The graduate of the Mongolian State Conservatory and Lviv National Music Academy of Soviet Union (now in Ukraine) won many international singing contests throughout his life.
Two of his songs were named as one of Mongolia’s most iconic 100 songs of all time.
