Deputy Head in Charge of Clinical Practice of the Central Military Hospital R.Bayanmunkh:

-

The Central Military Hospital specializes in COVID-19 infection prevention, preparedness, surveillance, monitoring, isolation, and medical care. In this context, in order to prevent risks, the notification scheme of the entire hospital staff was updated, and the necessary medicines, medical supplies, personal protective equipment and laboratory reagents and disinfectants were stockpiled.

In addition, all doctors and medical professionals review the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the State Emergency Commission to ensure preparedness. The Military Central Hospital assigned two to three groups of doctors to act in the event of a potential local infection, provided psychological training, and conducted daily training sessions to raise awareness of the public about the usage of personal protective equipment. As the building of the Military Central Hospital was a non-standard facility for the treatment of infectious diseases, the State Specialized Inspection Agency and the National Center for Communicable Disease (NCCD) consulted with experts and each floor of the building was zoned in red, yellow and green zones.

In addition, in accordance with the joint order of the three ministers, our hospital was partially closed on February 27, and completely closed on March 15 and within two hours; the hospital was completely shut down.

Currently, we received citizens in need of medical care due to illness under a special regime, and provided medical care in quarantine. In the past, it has received and isolated more than 800 citizens and more than 200 peacekeepers serving in the Republic of South Sudan, and people, who have arrived from abroad on more than 70 special missions and five ground operations. Of these, 26 confirmed and suspected cases were identified and referred to the NCCD.

In addition, 1,000 people were isolated through infection control and surveillance, and medical care was provided to more than 300 people in more than 20 specialized fields. In total, more than 600 doctors and medical staff worked in 12 shifts for 14 to 21 days.

The Central Military Hospital used a total of 3,400 disinfectants and more than 165,700 personal protective equipment were provided to all types of specialized isolation care to prevent coronavirus infections.
