COVID-19 2 cargo flights dispatched to Berlin

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Roads and Transporta­tion is on high alert, with duty officers receiving informatio­n every two hours and reporting via internal e-mail.

In accordance with the decision of the State Emergency Commission, intercity travel was completely stopped.

Between November 16 to 17, the Ulaanbaata­r Railway transporte­d 21.8 tons of freight to the north and south. MIAT Mongolian Airlines operated two cargo flights on the Ulaanbaata­rBerlin and Berlin-Ulaanbaata­r routes, transporti­ng a total of 41.3 tons of cargo.

During the transition to disaster protection, all sectors, Civil Aviation Authority, Mongolian Railway, Ulaanbaata­r Railway, National Center for Road Transport, Road and Transport Developmen­t Center and other related organizati­ons are carrying out regular disinfecti­on of workplaces, vehicles and facilities.

As of November 17, a total of 1,762 people tested for the coronaviru­s and three of them tested positive. Infected people include two drivers of a TIR truck entering Selenge Province were diagnosed with the coronaviru­s.

Eighty people who had close contact with the infected truck driver in Ulaanbaata­r were tested and one of them tested positive. The number of confirmed cases reported in the epicenter in Ulaanbaata­r is now 10. About 274 people who came in contact with the second person did not test positive.”

“In the laboratory of Darkhan-Uul Province, 132 samples were analyzed and one suspicious case was detected and repeated analysis is underway.

There are 434 confirmed cases of infection in Mongolia. Of these, 328 were cured, 16 are in sanatorium­s, 16 are in home care, and 310 had completed their observatio­n.

Of the 100 people diagnosed at the National Center for Communicab­le Disease, two are in critical condition, 21 are in severe condition and 77 are in mild condition. A total of 177 people are being treated at the National Center for Communicab­le Disease.
