804 new cases reported

Spokesman for the Ministry of Health B.Uuganbayar reported on May 9 that 804 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Saturday, bringing total cases in the country to 44,820. Seven of the 804 new cases were hospital-acquired and four were imported cases. About 737 of the new cases were registered in Ulaanbaatar and 56 in provinces.

Between May 8 to 9, 1,324 people have recovered from COVID-19, bringing total recoveries to 31,373. As a result of infection, 4,968 people were hospitalized, with 2,826 in mild condition, 1,530 in moderate, 499 in severe, and 113 in critical condition.

Two people, aged 69 and 89, died of COVID-19 on Saturday.
